Wedding Annoucements (For My Roommates)

I love wedding announcements. This is no secret. It’s my Sunday ritual. Many have seen my wall of fame. My friends and roommates are in on this. It’s a great thing.

Every Sunday, I scour the style section in the New York times, preferably with coffee and bagels from Murrays (double points if roommates/co-conspirators join me). It’s my Sunday staple. I’ve really missed it here—no Brits for the collection just yet—but my darling mother, because she loves me so, sends me the Times’ announcements. I’m up to September 20 today, and I have a favorite I must share. It’s a classic case of what Arielle and I would call “One of These Things is Not Like the Other.”

I love and miss all of my friends, but I must dedicate this post to my beloved roommates who I miss so much—Allie, Tessa, and Arielle. I can hear you guys reacting as I read/type this as though we were in the kitchen making tea, sitting under our half-dead Christmas lights, wondering why we still haven’t thrown out the Halloween candy. I love you guys.

In January, Mrs. Fogg, 23, is to become a student in the diploma program at Le Cordon Bleu in London. She graduated from Columbia.

Mr. Fogg, 34, is the deputy chief financial officer of Chertoff Group, a security and intelligence advisory firm in Washington. He was the deputy chief operating officer of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, also in Washington, until February and served from 1997 to 2002 in the Navy, where he achieved the rank of lieutenant.
