Forgot to put up pictures from my trip to Guernsey, the island in the English Channel. Amazing trip, insanely beautiful place with an odd, lovely, misty sort of feel to it. I absolutely want to go back and stay for longer. It was difficult not to be rather enchanted by it. The island is small, and inland is hills and winding roads—at almost every point on the island you can see water. The water there looks strangely tropical, shiney light blue in the harbor. The edge of the island is beaches and cliffs, with magnificent waves crashing onto huge rocks. The middle is hills, woods, winding roads, amazing hiking trails, all with views to the ocean. We hung out in the town by St Peters Port, all cobblestone alleyways, warm little pubs, and very nice shops. The people were very nice and friendly that we met. It was an awesome trip, and I’m totally serious about going back. I can’t wait.
